The Project
We are exploring how Australian adults engage with digital sexually explicit material (SEM) online, including their experiences accessing this content and representing themselves as sexual beings in online spaces.

Engagement with SEM includes, but is not limited to, consuming and creating digital pornography, posting on social media, sexting, listening to sex advice podcasts, and searching for information about sex and relationships.

This survey aims to understand adults' (18+) experiences, thoughts, and feelings related to SEM to improve digital sexual literacy and identify useful interventions.

If you are 18 or older and living in Australia, we’d love to hear from you! The anonymous survey contains a brief demographic survey and two open-ended questions about your experiences (or lack thereof) with SEM, the positives, and any concerns. It will take approximately 5–10 minutes of your time.
